small creatures

The sky was slightly overcast with a soft warm breeze that rustled through the leaves of the grasses and trees.

We walked silently enjoying the sounds of water trickling in a nearby creek or the sounds of our footsteps on the gravel path.

So many little creatures live here and we look forward to seeing them now and then darting across the path and into the bushes.

We came across this little guy who seemed to have a keen interest in us. I walked very softly up to him

and he just sat there and looked at me as if to say, "that is close enough".

He looked so beautiful and meek with the sun glowing on his back and through his transparent ears.

I love my evening walks in the park. They are the highlight of my day and I never tire of them.
