Wow, I&#039;m amazed you let your son drive so far, and only on a learners permit.  I can count on one had the number of times my parents let me drive while I had a permit, and none of those times was more than 5 miles from home.  I&#039;d say your son is very lucky that you are willing to trust his abilities and I&#039;ve no doubt he learned a lot on that trip, and not just about driving skills or the scenery before him.
