I’ve had a burst of creative energy lately and created several new peace mandalas. This one I was quite please with. It was created from a picture of living coral and I titled it life because it appears almost alive. This man has talent. Who would have ever thought that cutting up cardboard boxes would create such artistic visions of green beauty. You can always feel the passion of a photographer by seeing how they capture the world. Its like they give you a little glimpse of their soul as thy show you what moves them. Detail24’s nature photos remind me how much beauty there is in this world, if I only take a moment to stop and look. I just found it absolutely amazing that this painting was done entirely with “Sharpie” pens. This is a technique I have never seen before, it is called “trash poetry”. I grew up with the trains right in my backyard and would spend long afternoons walking the tracks. It was my way of getting away from it all and dreaming of some day growing up and going as far as the tracks would take me. This poster on the ceiling was created by Everest Brand Solutions of Mumbai, India and won a Bronze Award at Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 2006 and a silver award for The One Show 2006. The above stained glass was created by Marc Chagall and dedicated to the United Nations in 1964 as a memorial to Dag Hammarskjold, the second Secretary-General of the UN who died in a plane crash in 1961. While surfing through some galleries of glass, the brilliant designs of Afro Celotto seemed to project itself off the screen and draw me into its exquisite beauty. Here is something new to try…an delectable dinner in the sky. The only draw back would be, once you are up, there is no way to excuse yourself from the table. |
