Again, playing with color. Love the muted distressed look and the way it blends. May use this as a background for another painting. I love working with color and texture. One day I would like to do this with paint and a brush on canvas, but for now this will do. It is easy to clean up, all I do is just close the laptop. I broke my ankle a few weeks ago and have been stuck on my couch the entire weekend. With not much else to do, I spent the entire day today working on this fairy tree. Why a fairy tree? I have no idea. It just started evolving and I couldn’t stop. It is not even [...] Went out to the bird preserve yesterday and the cactus were in full bloom. The above peace mandala was made from the picture below. One of my newest peace mandalas. It is made from a picture of a bearded old man. I’ve had a burst of creative energy lately and created several new peace mandalas. This one I was quite please with. It was created from a picture of living coral and I titled it life because it appears almost alive. I haven’t done one of these in a while, it’s a new peace mandala that I just added to my gallery. I love working the right side of my brain but get frustrated when doing arts and crafts as I just don’t have the space. By the time I get my project all spread out over the table, it is time to pack it all up again. When I was first introduced to meditation, I started by focusing on a Mandala, a sacred form of geometry which is intended to draw your focus to its center. |
