Peace Crane
In Asia the White Crane has long been known as a symbol of Peace and Prosperity.
After Hiroshima the origami paper crane became a new symbol of peace upon the death of a young Japanese girl named Sadako who perished from the “A-bomb disease” when she was only twelve years old.
Sadako spent her last days folding paper cranes upon hearing the Japanese legend that if you fold a thousand paper cranes your dreams will come true.
